Star Wars Virtual Reality experience coming Jan. 5 to Disneyland Resort
"ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment arm, and its partner, The Void, released more information Wednesday, Oct. 11, on their new multi-sensory and hyper-reality experience called 'Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire.'
The virtual reality experience debuts on Jan. 5, 2018, at Downtown Disney in Anaheim. It will be housed where the Vault 28 and Fossil retail stores used to be.
According to the Void officials, teams of up to four people will don virtual reality headsets and other technology that simulates walking through the molten planet of Mustafar."

"An orange and white J4-K3 droid better known as 'Jake' was seen roaming around Tomorrowland on Tuesday, Oct. 10, beeping, interacting and mingling with visitors in front of the Star Wars Launch Bay building at Disneyland."
Disneyland cast member Carrie Barnette among those killed in Las Vegas
"Barnette was part of the culinary team at Disney California Adventure for 10 years, Disney Chairman and CEO Robert Iger said in a statement Monday. Calderon said Barnette worked as a food prep trainer and manager overseeing the restaurants and concession stands at the theme park’s Pacific Wharf area."

"While crowds during the Halloween season have been slowly building the past few years, last month’s debut of all-new Halloween overlays at DCA’s most popular locations have sent the crowd levels through the roof in the past two weeks. DCA has already made new attendance records the past two Fridays, surpassing the numbers in the park that arrived to see the Cars Land grand opening back in June, 2012."
